Benefits of Membership
SHARE SAVINGS ACCOUNT
A minimum deposit of $25.00 is all that is needed to open an individual or $50 for a joint account and entitles you to membership and privileges of being a credit union member. Dividends are compounded and paid quarterly on balances of $100 or more based on the average daily balance method. Access your account through Call 24, CU Check card or Home banking.
FREE CHECKING ACCOUNT
No minimum balance and no per check charge.
FREE ATM/DEBIT CARD
No charge for a credit union ATM card and transactions are free at any Falcon ATM. Foreign fees and bank surcharges may apply at non-Falcon ATMs. Cards can also be used at Point-of-Sale (POS) locations for handy withdrawals when making a purchase.
HOME LOANS
We offer fixed rate mortgages for your new home or to refinance your existing home. With a fixed rate mortgage, your monthly payment is the same during the life of the loan. Want to have your home custom built, ask about our Construction Mortgage. Learn More
Becoming a Member
Membership is established by opening a Share Savings Account with a minimum deposit of $25.00 for an individual account or $50.00 for a joint account. Once this account is opened, you become a eligible for our services such as Call-24 (24 hour phone teller), our ATM/Debit Card, VISA credit card, Money Market Accounts, Certificates of Deposit and Share Draft Checking. We also have loans for everything from autos to homes.
Membership is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in Chittenden, Addison, Franklin, Rutland, Washington, Orange, Grand Isle, Lamoille, and Windsor Counties.
Green Mountain Credit Union also serves the employees of many large and small companies in VT. You are eligible for membership if you are an active or retired employee of one of these companies.
You are also eligible if you are related to any member by birth, marriage, civil union, adoption, or are a houshold member.
