Members with Green Mountain On-line can enjoy the convenience of automatic bill payments from their GMCU checking account. No more writing checks and spending hours paying bills. Membership is established by opening a Share Savings Account with a minimum deposit of $25.00.

Once this account is opened, you become a eligible for our services such as Call-24 (24 hour phone teller), our ATM/Debit Card, VISA credit card, Money Market Accounts, Certificates of Deposit and Share Draft Checking.  We also have loans for everything from autos to homes and on-line banking coming soon.

Green Mountain Credit Union was founded in 1959 by employees of Green Mountain Power Corporation and now serves employees, retirees and family members of many other select companies including Vermont Gas Systems and Husky Injection Molding Systems to name a few.

There is no minimum number of employees needed to participate in the credit union.  We do however ask that the Sponsoring Employer give us time to make a short 15-30 minute employee orientation.  This presentation on credit union services and products also serves as an informal question and answer period.  It has been proven that the value of the credit union as an employee benefit is greatly enhanced by the employee orientation.

We know that everyone is very busy and the credit union is willing and able to schedule orientations at times most convenient for the company.

We also ask that you keep our New Member information on hand, which we will supply at no cost, and give one to new employees or any employee requesting this information.
